Session 1 – How sustainability impacts the boardroom and the bottom line, from an accounting point of view.
Presented by Zabihollah (Zabi) Rezaee, PhD, professor of Accountancy and Chair of Excellence at The University of Memphis. Dr. Rezaee, is an internationally recognized expert and author in the field of corporate sustainability Performance, Compliance Accountability and Integrated Reports.
Session 2 – Why and how our leading corporate citizens implement energy efficiency measures and how these efforts affect their bottom lines.
A panel comprising Kit Crighton-Smith, project manager for FedEx; Doug Duggard, sustainability manager for Smith & Nephew; and Gary Cluck, senior manager environmental health & safety for Brother. Each will give first-hand accounts of the energy efficiency measures taken to support corporate goals that they have implemented here in Memphis-area facilities.
Session 3 – How to Improve your return on investment (ROI)
A second panel will present energy conservation strategies and ways to pay for them. Brandon England of Pathway Lending, Chris Ewing of Ewing Kessler, Phil Everitt of IAC, and David Skelton of Evergreen.
Networking Lunch -
Damon Fleming, Ph.D., CFA, Dean of the Fogelman College of Business & Economics will be the keynote speaker during the networking lunch where attendees will get to sit and mingle with all of the speakers and sponsors of the seminar.
