Gary joined Brother International Corporation in January of 2016 as Senior Manger Environmental Health & Safety in Bartlett, TN. Prior to joining Brother International Corporation, Gary worked over 20 years in the field of safety, starting as a Safety Supervisor at W.M. Barr & Company, Inc. He has held positions of increasing responsibility in the chemical and food manufacturing industries to include Ralston Purina Pet Products, Kroger, and the Schwan’s Food Company. His experience and expertise include facility safety and security inspections, promoting employee engagement (safety committee, communication and visibility) across departments and business units, employee training, program development, best practices implementation, and managing EHS compliance at multi-site food manufacturing facilities and DC’s.
Gary holds Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety from Memphis State University and a Masters in Geography with a concentration in Cultural Ecology from the University of Memphis. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family in Florida and is the owner/roaster of a specialty small batch coffee business.
